Ministry Scripture

Matthew 19:14 ESV

“But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

Ministry Mission

To create an environment and atmosphere for children to learn and experience God on their level. To give parents a safe environment for their children as they learn and experience God without the responsibility of parenting.

Ministry Purpose

Children’s ministry is an important ministry within a local assembly.  It is very different from just having a youth ministry. Children from infancy to ten learn, comprehend, and understand things at a different level.

Our goal, with the help of Christ, is to give children the opportunity to experience God in their own way.  This will also allow parents the freedom to worship God without the continuous responsibility of caring for their child.

Our team prepares a lesson each week to share with our children during children’s church. The

children lead and participate in Prayer and Praise & Worship. They engage in a craft and

activities that coincide with the lesson. We also provide a snack. As a part of our safety policy

parents are responsible for signing their children in and out.

We will be incorporating field trips, and out of church activities.

We also provide nursery care for infants 6 week to 3 years old. The babies are

cared for during services. We read bible stories, play biblical videos, and do crafts

and provide a safe play environment for the toddlers. We also provide snacks for

them as well.

Ministry Needs:

  1. We are looking for teachers who love teaching children.

  1. We are looking for assistants to help assist our teachers.

Teachers must be 18 and older and have a good understanding of the bible

Assistances must be 16 and older

*Most important teachers and assistance must have a love and passion for children

Evangelist Helen Akins

Ministry Scripture:

Mark 16:15 ESV

“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Ministry Mission

To introduce to some and reconcile others to GOD through the love of Jesus Christ working through us. To share His Good News to all who will hear.

Ministry Description

We are church outside the walls. We take the Gospel to homes through Bible studies. We canvass neighborhoods and pass out tracts.  We set up prayer stations on corners so that we can pray for souls who are in need. We try to meet the people where they are.

Ministry Purpose

We offer the opportunity of intimate group fellowship through small cell groups involving bible study which allows participants the freedom to gain knowledge and ask questions they might otherwise feel intimidated to ask in a larger church setting.

We offer prayer to whomever desires it, and refer them to counseling when requested and city-wide social service programming when needed.

Our main service is to introduce Jesus to our community at large and invite them to a place of fellowship with other like-minded souls who have a desire to take basic biblical principles and make them applicable to their everyday lives. Our main goal is to point them to a house of GOD where they are engrafted in to learn how to walk in peace and victory.

Ministry Needs:

Kingdom minded participants who have a genuine burden for souls, who will spend time with GOD interceding on their behalf (prayer warriors and road warriors who will follow Jude 20-23 and make it a regular part of their lives).

We need people who LOVE people and enjoy fellowshipping with them. We need people filled with the joy of the Lord who get greater joy by winning the lost, uplifting the weak and discipling souls for the Kingdom. We need Isaiah 61:1 people who will proclaim the Good News with boldness because they know it is a commission of GOD upon their lives.

We NEED people who are willing to share their testimony of Jesus Christ and become like the woman who met Jesus at the well; and after that encounter, turned an entire city upside down with her testimony. "Come see a man..."

We need people who believe in TEAM, who are willing to think outside of the box and brainstorm and introduce innovative ideas. We need people who will make it fun to be soul winners.

Finally, we need two prayer station kits that we can set up in parks and on corners as a witnessing tool.  See image below:

Ministry Purpose:

We sponsor marriage enrichment courses such as seminars, counseling sessions, and marriage retreats.  We firmly push the agenda of our retreats, as this is the time couples are able to escape the stress and pressures of life, reduce distractions, and focus solely on their mate.  On our retreats, we create an atmosphere of communication, trust, and fellowship as we build stronger marriages through exercises, activities, and in-depth workshops. To encourage the process of marital oneness, we also sponsor quarterly meetings where married couples come together for teaching and open discussion.
